PHYSICAL DISABILITIES & EPILEPSY SUPPORT

Our partnership with registered housing providers ensures clear roles and responsibilities outlined in a Service Level Agreement (SLA), ensuring the best interests of those we support. Eligibility and funding for supported living arrangements are determined through assessments conducted by care managers or social workers, with individuals often having the option to choose their support provider, such as Bestway Care, through Personal Independence Payments or Direct Payments. Benefits and allowances may include Personal Independence Payment, Disability Living Allowance, attendance allowance (for those over 65), and support for housing, work, and special adaptations. Our supported living packages cover various aspects, including assistance with shopping, cooking, personal care, medication management, education, social activities, and financial management, ensuring holistic support tailored to individual needs and preferences.

COMPLEX CARE

Bestway Care specializes in providing tailored home care packages for individuals with complex medical conditions, overseen by our dedicated local care management team. With a wealth of experience in addressing diverse conditions such as dementia, multiple sclerosis, motor neurones, Parkinson’s disease, and acquired brain and spinal injuries, we collaborate closely with healthcare professionals, CCGs, and case managers to ensure comprehensive and personalised care. Our approach includes assessing the need for home adaptations and facilitating access to appropriate equipment to support individuals’ complex care needs.

Offering flexible complex care packages on both hourly and live-in bases, we tailor our services to meet the unique requirements of each client. Whether it’s providing assistance for a few hours per week to enable family members to run errands or organizing day trips to allow families some respite, we tailor our support to meet individual requirements. Additionally, we offer weekly day breaks and longer-term support, including short breaks and extended periods of care, ensuring families have the opportunity to recharge and take much-needed breaks.

In collaboration with families, we craft comprehensive support plans that consider routines and specific needs, often evolving into regular patterns of respite support over months and years. Recognized by local governments and Clinical Commissioning Groups, our outreach assistance is eligible for funding. We also work with individuals receiving Direct Payments, Individual Service Funds, or Personal Budgets, ensuring accessibility to our services for those in need.
